Hoodman Loupe 3

I've just ordered this must have gadget. The Hoodman Loupe 3. Anyone who's used to using a DSLR outside in the sun will know only to well how annoying it is when you can't see that rear screen to evaluate the image. Well this little baby is receiving good reviews and will hopefully resolve this annoyance.

ThinkTank - Logistics manager

Currently awaiting delivery of the new thinktank Logistics Manager. yet another bag to carry all my kit on location. This is a new model recently released from ThinkTank and looks so cool as far as kit bags go. I had a sneek preview at a photo show in Southampton recently & thought ummm now that could replace the other bag i bought two months back. mangaged to save a few £'s by ordering it from Ireland and paying in the Euro.

Photoshop CS5

Ok, it didn't take long to hit the buy button, I've ordered photoshop CS5. Decided not to go for the EXT version as I've yet to use those features in CS4. I'm really hoping that Bridge has been improved as it's such a snail. If it hasn't then I'll have to fork out for Lightroom too...

Lovegrove Flash Bracket

Today I took delivery of my latest Stroby accessory from Lovegrove Consulting
This is a very well made high end flash bracket. It will also hold the nikon SB-900 which is a bonus. Oddly it has no umbrella attachment which is a shame especially considering the price.

California Barn - Strobist club meet

This past weekend we had a cracking day down in sunny Swanage. Working with new models and Mua's I managed to grab some nice work. As per usual shoots you team up on the day with other togs, I worked alongside Graham & Andy who were first timers on a strobe shoot.

The model above is Hanna, all the way from Sweden. Recently moved to the UK to search for a man due to the shortage back home. I guess it didn't take too long..
This was Hanna's first photo shoot and she was a little star, though not so little, pushing 6 foot.........

This is Hayley Eldridge, An experienced model with a stunning face. Say no more..

And this stunner is Emma Sutton another experienced model who was a pleasure to work with...

All the shots were taken on using a Nikon D300 fitted with either a 24-70mm f/2.8 nikkor or a Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8lens.

We mainly used my Elinchrom Quadra's as the main light source and nikon Sb-800 & 900's as either with hair lights and or catchlights.
Also we used a lastolite tri-flip reflector with a sunfire reflector fitted.
